This 110-year old train station was part of the North Borneo Railway Network (the only one in Borneo!). It was instrumental in developing the economy of Sabah. The station which was built in 1906 was once used to transport people, rubber and jungle produces. However, modern transportation systems and vehicles made the train system obsolete and the train station was no longer being used since the 1970's. However, this train station is now abandoned and has been deteriorating very rapidly and might collapse soon. There has been little or no progress to save the station when the State Muse
